Refund policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

The short version

Every Fig & Trellis order is made to order, so all sales are final and we cannot accept returns or exchanges if you change your mind, order the wrong amount or type, or measured incorrectly. That is why we offer 12 x 12 in samples: please order one and look at it on your wall before you place a full order.

If something goes wrong on our side, we will make it right. If your wallpaper arrives damaged, misprinted or with a defect, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we will replace it. Misprints and damage are always replaced.

What we will fix

  • Damaged in transit: rolls that arrive creased, torn or crushed.
  • Printing problems: flaws such as streaks, banding, missing ink, a pattern that is clearly misprinted along the roll, or a print that does not match the design you ordered.
  • Wrong item: we sent a different design, color, type or roll size from the one on your order.
  • Missing rolls: the order arrived with fewer rolls than your order confirmation lists.

What is not covered

  • Changes of mind, or finding that you do not like the pattern, color or scale once it is on the wall. There are no change-of-mind returns or exchanges.
  • Measuring or quantity errors, including ordering too few or too many rolls, or the wrong type. The roll calculator on each product page is a guide only, so please check your measurements and the roll size and coverage before you pay.
  • Small color differences between a screen, a sample and the finished order, or between two separate print runs. This is normal for printed wallpaper. Every roll in one order is printed in the same run, so please order all your rolls together; a spare roll can also help.
  • Problems caused by installation, for example paste applied to a peel-and-stick product, installing on a textured, damp or unprepared wall, trimming a strip too short, or cutting before checking the pattern.
  • Wallpaper that has already been hung or cut, unless the fault was not visible until it was hung. If you see a flaw, stop and contact us before you continue.

How to report a problem

  1. Unpack and inspect everything as soon as it arrives. Unroll the rolls and check them before you start hanging.
  2. Stop if something looks wrong. Do not hang or cut a strip you have a concern about.
  3. Contact us within 30 days of delivery through our Contact page or Help Center chat, and include your order number and email, clear photos of the problem and of the packaging if it was damaged, and a ruler or coin in the photo if the problem is about scale.
  4. We will review it and tell you what we can do. Please keep the item until we have replied, and do not send anything back without talking to us first.

What happens next

If we agree there is a fault, we will replace the affected rolls with a reprint. If we are not able to, we will refund you in full or in part. Refunds go back to the original payment method, and may take a few business days to appear after we issue them. We do not provide a prepaid return label. If we ask for the faulty item to be returned, we will tell you how, and we will reimburse reasonable return costs we have approved in advance.

Cancelling an order

We can only cancel an order that has not started printing. Contact us as soon as you can with your order number. If printing has already begun, the order cannot be cancelled and this policy applies.

Samples

Samples are made to order too and are not refundable, but the same rules apply if a sample arrives damaged or misprinted. Samples are the best way to avoid a problem with a full order.

Orders placed elsewhere

If you bought Fig & Trellis wallpaper through another retailer or marketplace, please contact them: we can only handle orders placed on our own website.
