Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to browse, choose and order wallpaper from Fig & Trellis, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control or magnification. This page explains what we do, where we still fall short, and how to reach us.

Our goal

We aim for our website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We are a small team and accessibility is ongoing work, so we may not meet every guideline everywhere yet.

What we do

  • Keyboard use. Menus, product options, the roll calculator, the image gallery and forms can be used with a keyboard, with visible focus outlines.
  • Screen readers. We use clear headings, labelled form fields and buttons, and announce changes such as your order total as you type.
  • Images. Product images have descriptive text that names the design, color and room shown.
  • Text and color. Text is resizable, the layout adapts to phones and tablets, and we choose colors with readable contrast.
  • Forms. Every field has a visible label, and errors are shown in text.
  • Motion. Nothing flashes, and the image gallery moves only when you choose to move it.

Known limitations

  • Some third-party tools we use, such as the secure checkout, payment pages and the Shopify Inbox chat window, are provided by other companies. We cannot fully control their accessibility, though we choose well-established providers.
  • Photographs of wallpaper show color and pattern, which cannot be fully described in words. If you cannot see a design clearly, contact us and we will describe it for you.
  • Some older pages and images may be missing full descriptions. We are fixing these as we find them.
